"Oh! again a girl is born''. A general statement which we hear in our day to day life. Whenever a girl takes birth in a family all the happiness turns into pathos. The people who used to smile before her birth have started thinking of the ways to get rid of her. Why a girl child has no right to be born in this world ? Why all the happiness comes with the coming of a boy ? And why only the boys are aspired to be the successors ?
We may have got independence, we may call ourselves the most developed, the most advanced but our mentality still needs to grow. Today we call ourselves the 21st century generation but we forget the filthiest part of our society. The part in which our own sisters are brutally killed, rather murdered. A country can only progress when it has all the steps, equal on the stairs of progress. We have never thought that when we kill a girl, we kill many others, we kill a sister, a wife, a mother and a friend. We want a wife, a mother and a sister but we don't want a daughter. This is the plight of our country where 100 of girls are murdered every second.
A country can only be called developed when the ratio of boys and girls in that country is comparable. So stop saying that ‘girls are unlucky and disgraceful ’ , fight for their rights. Let them fly high and reach the sky as for them ‘ SKY IS THE ONLY LIMIT ’.
